How Allowance Started
My wife and I were deciding whether or not to give our kids an allowance for completing the chores around the house. We didn't like the idea of them earning dollars because the value didn't seem to be increasing as they saved and we wanted to teach our kids a little about investing and saving for the future. We decided to look at cryptocurrencies. We could not find a token that fit our need. So, we decided to create one. We wanted it to be simple enough for our kids to understand and follow. We didn't expect them to do a bunch of research into blockchains etc. They also liked the idea of being part of a community of people investing together. My wife and I thought we deserved an allowance too and set up weekly purchases along with our weekly allowance purchases for the kids. We wanted to save for the future too!
